5th June - 9th June (Week 4)

Howdy readers! Last week was a school holiday, so I have nothing to update. In addition, it was a public holiday on 5th June (Monday). Hence, I was swamped preparing a script for a drama sketch competition. It was one of the competitions for Jejak Juara organized by Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan. Since we were young and full of ideas, the English teachers allowed us to conduct the students during practices.

On 6th June (Tuesday), we had a first meeting for the participants. They were 15 participants, and only 3 students were absent during the meet-up. We did a script reading and casting which students are suitable for the characters. Everything went well. We already chose the actors and actresses. They were so excited to start the practice sessions.

In addition, on 7th June (Wednesday), it was my first time being involved with physical kokurikulum. As I mentioned before, Ms Kuah assigned me to be with Pn. Norliza and Pn. Fazillah for Kadet Bomba's uniform unit and Kelab Kebudayaan with Pn. Sulhaniza and En. Azim. It was an enjoyable experience for me.

From 1:00p.m. until 2:40p.m., I went to Bilik Muzik and helped En. Azim and Pn. Sulhaniza to conduct an introductory acting class. At first, Pn. Sulhaniza explains basic acting, the script, expression and body language. After that, we divided the students into 6 groups. Two groups of boys and four groups of girls. I wrote 6 different situations for those students. The students and the teachers enjoyed the spontaneous act, and we also discovered a few students with the talent to act. I attached some pictures and a video below:

Afterwards, the students were given 20 minutes to go for Zuhr's prayers and have a snack. The uniform units' activities started at 3:00p.m. until 4.30p.m. Bomba's activity on that day was ties and knots. Some seniors taught them how to tie a few types of knots. The students were beyond happy, especially when the senior instructor was a girl. Pn. Fazillah and Pn. Norliza planned to use a projector. However, there wasn't any HDMI to connect. Hence, we came to a conclusion, we asked the seniors to help and teach the others how to do the knots.

Oh, it reminds me of someone! This one form 5 boy was so excited to meet me. He even tries to speak in English during the demonstrations. Here is the video.

As for 8th June (Thursday), it was just a typical day where I just entered my class and relief some classes. Meanwhile on 9th June (Friday), after school hours, I have to company Pn. Norliza to guide Kadet Bomba's squad for Monday's assembly.

Meanwhile, on 10th June (Saturday), the school organized a Gotong Royong Perdana for the teachers. The organizer appoints a committee of teachers responsible for planning and coordinating the gotong royong. As for me, my leader was En. Faiz. He determined the tasks for each teacher in a team with me. Not to forget, I was in the same team as Nabilah. We started by cleaning and organizing various areas of the school. Nabilah and I work with senior teachers to sweep the gardens and clean the drains.

After a while, Datin Norsiah wanted all practicum teachers to help her to clean an abandoned project from the previous principal. It was a lot of work, but we finished it on time. We worked together with the senior teachers. All of the teachers were very concerned about our ability and health. They often asked whether we were good or not, do we need rest or not.
