12th June - 16th June (Week 5)

As a practicum teacher at a secondary school, every day brings new experiences, challenges, and moments of joy. Join me as I share a glimpse into my world, where I strive to positively impact the lives of my students and foster their love for learning.

I arrived at the school brimming with enthusiasm and anticipation for the day ahead. With lesson plans in hand, I prepared my classroom, creating a warm and engaging environment to set the stage for a productive day of learning. The buzz of students' greetings energized me as I entered the classroom, and I knew it would be a great day. As for the start of my Monday morning, I have to take care of my Kadet Bomba students because they have to lead the assembly.

The usual buzz of excitement filled the air as the school assembly began. Students gathered in the assembly area, eager to participate in a shared learning and community experience. What awaited them, however, was something truly extraordinary. The march during the school assembly was a testament to the transformative power of student activism. It demonstrated that education extends beyond textbooks and exams; it encompasses cultivating a sense of social responsibility, empathy, and critical thinking in our students. As educators, we have the privilege of supporting and guiding these young minds, encouraging them to become change agents who can impact society.

After the assembly, I went to my class to start teaching. The first lesson commenced, and I introduced the topic with excitement. Seeing my students eager faces and willingness to participate gave me a sense of purpose. I strived to make the learning experience enjoyable and informative through interactive discussions with group activities. I dedicated time to provide individualized support to students who needed extra assistance. Whether it was clarifying concepts or guiding them through challenging problems, witnessing the "aha" moments on their faces was incredibly rewarding. Building solid relationships with my students and creating a safe space for them to ask questions and seek guidance was vital to my role.

As the day drew to a close, I took a moment to reflect on the day's successes and challenges. Celebrating the moments when students grasped a difficult concept or overcame a learning hurdle filled me with immense pride. I noted areas for improvement and modifications needed for future lessons, always striving to enhance my teaching practices.

On 14th June (Wednesday), as usual, we have extracurricular activities. Activities for this week were Clubs and Associations and sports house training. From 1:10pm until 3:30pm, I have to attend Kelab Kebudayaan's meeting. Pn. Sulhaniza suggested making a fashion show. However, to start the fashion show. Each group must design an outfit inspired by traditional or modern clothes.

After 3:30pm, the teachers must attend the assembly area to take students' attendance. I was in charge of Hang Kasturi, a yellow sports house. After taking attendance, teachers and students start started moving to the field. It was scorching, so I wore a cap and brought an umbrella. I don't want to be dehydrated during this hot weather.
