25th September - 29th September (Week 20)

As my last week as an intern English teacher approaches, I am filled with mixed emotions, primarily sadness. Saying goodbye to my students is going to be a difficult and bittersweet moment. I remember the first day I walked into the classroom, nervous but excited, unsure of how well I could connect with my students. However, those uncertainties vanished over time as I witnessed their dedication and passion for learning. Together, we've explored the intricacies of the English language, delved into captivating literature, and navigated the challenging waters of grammar and vocabulary.

However, all lessons on 26 September (Tuesday) were postponed because all form 4 students were involved with Jabatan Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Negara's (JKKN) event, Budi @ Seni. The students were exposed to many types of arts, like dancing, playing traditional instruments and drawing skills. As an introduction, the JKKN performed a traditional dance in front of the students and teachers.

On 27 September (Wednesday), our last co-curricular activity for the week was a uniformed unit and association club meeting. The Cultural Club meeting started at 1:10 p.m. until 2:40 p.m. and continued with the Fire Cadet meeting from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The activity for the Cultural Club was Lagu Rakyat. I helped Pn Sulhaniza prepare all the songs to be given to the students. Each group needed to pick a song, and they had to perform the song on the stage.

After Kelab Kebudayaan's meeting, I went to the Fire Cadet's meeting. As for that day's activity, Pn Norliza wanted to do a task from the previous activity, Ujian Kawad Hose. It was a hot day, and we gathered at the basketball court to run the action.

I've watched their confidence grow from shy and hesitant speakers to eloquent communicators. I've seen their faces light up with excitement when they finally understood a complex concept, and I've been inspired by their resilience in the face of challenging homework and exams. Beyond academics, I've also learned about their dreams, aspirations, and unique personalities. Each student brought their perspective and life experiences to the classroom, enriching our discussions and making every day a new adventure.

It's not just about what I've taught them; it's also about what they've taught me. They've tau about the importance of patience, empathy, and adaptability as a teacher. They've shown me how to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

As I prepare to say goodbye, I am filled with pride for all my students have accomplished during our time together. I know that they have bright futures ahead, and I can't help but feel a sense of hope and excitement for all the fantastic opportunities that await them.

While it's hard to say goodbye, I know that this is not the end of our journey together. Teaching has been a rewarding experience, and I plan to carry the memories of my time as their teacher with me as I continue to grow in my career. I'll always cherish the bonds we've formed and the lessons we've learned together.

So, on this last day as an intern English teacher, I will celebrate the growth and achievements of my students and look forward to the next chapter in both their lives and mine. I may be sad to leave, but I am grateful for our time together and their impact on my life.
