22nd May - 26th May (Week 2)
What if we are all free from drugs? How different would our everyday lives be? What would happen if drugs never existed, especially among teenagers nowadays? Weed, cocaine, heroin, and many more. All types of drugs will destroy teenagers' and students' life. They will fail in their studies. The community will abandon them. They will have a hard life to work and be accepted in the community.
Hence, this week's theme is Pendidikan Pencegahan Dadah (PPDa). A lot of activities will be organized this week by the counsellors in SMKCP. For instance, public speaking, deklamasi sajak, infographics competitions, etc. In addition, Penolong Kanan, Datin Norsiah has been inaugurated the event during Monday's official assembly. Besides, Encik Afnan, SMKCP's counsellor, had to undergo a quick quiz where the prizes were sponsored by other teachers in SMKCP.
It was a lot of laughter during the quiz because Encik Afnan said it was sponsored by the teacher, but the teacher didn't know they had to sponsor the gift. You know what I mean? Encik Afnan was making a prank where the students who could answer the questions had to pop a balloon because there was a piece of paper written the prize. Once students pop the balloon, they receive a paper written with their prize sponsored by other teachers. The teachers don't have a clue that they sponsored it.
After the assembly, I was supposed to have a class with 4 Amanah, 4 Bestari and 4 Cekal. However, there was a talk organized for Form 4 students. The talk was done at Dewan Bestari from Taylor's College association. The students were so excited to meet an international student from Saudi Arabia. It was a great sharing from them, and it might spread interest for the students to further their studies.
Meanwhile, on 23 May, three activities will be conducted for the students. Firstly, from 10:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., an anti-drug talk was organized for Form 4 and 5 students. They have to gather at Dewan Perkasa. Next, an anti-drug exhibition will also be conducted from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. All students are allowed to visit the exhibition. Not only day, a public speaking contest will be held at the computer lab at 1:30 p.m. Guess who will be the judges? It was me and my friends, Abyana and Fazleen. Usually, we are allowed to go home at 2 p.m. However, due to the public speaking contest, we must stay until 4 p.m.
